What Does “B-Grade Quality” Mean?
This product contains genuine Edel-Schungite of the highest quality category 1 that we offer. The stones were delivered directly from the source to us in Germany and, for organisational reasons, were not cleaned and sorted in the same way as our regular products.
As a result, orange or grey deposits may be visible on the surfaces. In many cases, these natural deposits and impurities can largely be removed by thorough rinsing and cleaning. They are the reason why the stones are classified as B-grade quality and do not mean that the Schungite is of inferior quality.
The stones remain completely untreated. They have neither been polished nor shaped into a specific form. This means that you receive natural Edel-Schungite pieces with their original shapes, edges, structures and surfaces.
Natural Composition
Edel-Schungite consists predominantly of carbon. In mineralogical and scientific descriptions, the special structure of the carbon in Schungite is often discussed in connection with so-called fullerenes or fullerene-like carbon structures. The exact composition and structure may vary depending on the individual specimen.
Edel-Schungite Origin and Quality
The Edel-Schungite stones we offer come from Karelia in Russia, the well-known region of origin of Schungite. The stones are extracted directly at the known source, then shipped to Germany and carefully inspected by us.
We are familiar with the processes involved in the extraction, sorting and shipping of our Schungite stones and regularly visit Karelia in person. These visits enable us to follow the origin and quality of our Schungite products directly and maintain contact with the mining areas and our partners.
For us, it is particularly important not to offer our customers just any black natural stones, but Schungite with a traceable origin. We therefore check the essential quality characteristics of our products and pay close attention to the characteristic properties of the material.
This B-grade product is also genuine Category 1 Edel-Schungite. The B-grade classification refers exclusively to the fact that the stones have not undergone the usual cleaning process and therefore show visible natural or surface deposits — not to any lower quality of the Edel-Schungite itself.
