Schungite grit can also be used to fertilize plants, for example, in organic farming. It is a completely natural mineral.
Schungite is used for houseplants, in the garden and for organic farming.
Like all our shungite products, the grit for plants comes from the Zazhoginskij mine (Karelia/Russia). It is the same mineral as all our products. The grit for plants has a grain size of approx. 5-20 mm.

To ensure that your plants do well, it is advisable to support them. Additional nutrients in the soil stimulate growth. It doesn't always have to be an expensive fertiliser; natural and inexpensive products such as shungite mineral can also provide effective support for plants. Schungite contains only substances that occur in nature, i.e. no synthesised molecules.

Below are a few tips for using shungite and shungite water on plants. All information on using shungite on plants is based on many years of experience of our customers. This is not an instruction manual.
Amount and frequency: Indoor plants:
about 30-50 g of shungite chips for 1 liter of soil.
Garden plants: 300 g/sqm depending on crop and soil type Basically,
however, the following applies: as little as possible and as much as necessary!
The frequency of application depends on the soil conditions and the pH of the soil. Since shungite does not dissolve in the ground and its energy is not consumed, it is recommended to use shungite for plants only once. With constant addition of shungite, this can lead to the fact that the soil becomes too acidic.
The right time to apply shungite:
There is no right time to fertilize houseplants. That means any time is suitable. In the garden, application is recommended from February to March.
This gives the plants a basis for regeneration after the winter as well as a lot of strength and energy for the coming year. Additional watering with shungite water can accelerate the growth of plants. Please pay attention to the pH value.
A slightly acidic environment between pH 5.5 and 6.5 is best for most plants. With shungite mineral you can achieve very good results on your indoor plants as well as in the garden. Growth is stimulated, the plants become more resilient and therefore less susceptible to diseases.
Please note:
Classic shungite may show slight gray abrasion on the touched surfaces with prolonged use. However, it can easily be removed with soap and water.
