Quality:
The shungite rock from which this pendant was carefully hand-carved comes from the Zazhoginskij mine in Karelia/Russia and corresponds to the highest quality category for classic shungite, category 2.
Certificate:
We check every stone in our range for authenticity and quality to ensure that our customers only receive high-quality shungite stones from us. We are therefore also regularly on site in Karelia at the shungite extraction site and the workshops where the pendant was manufactured. This is the only way we can guarantee the high quality and authenticity of our shungite stones.
Please note:
Discoloration
Objects made of classic shungite may discolor, especially in unpolished areas more than in polished ones. For example, in jewelry beads, the drill holes are not polished, so jewelry items may slightly discolor at first. This cannot be avoided, as it is a completely natural property of shungite. Most of the time, the discoloration is gray and can be easily removed with water and soap.
Additional Elements
Classic shungite is a mineral that naturally contains additional elements that are unevenly distributed. Therefore, pyrite and quartzite inclusions may be visible in some areas, appearing like scratches or cracks. These indicate that the shungite is genuine and are in no way a sign of poor quality.
Polishing
The polish does not last long on the stone's surface, as shungite is a relatively soft mineral. This is completely normal and not a quality defect. When manufacturing our products, we deliberately avoid strong sealing or polishing. We aim to offer our customers stones as naturally as possible.
