In this pendant, the protective effect of shungite is linked to the Old Norse Valknut symbol. This has come down to us from old Scandinavian picture stones. It is associated with the god Odin (Wotan), who is considered the god of magic and wisdom in the Germanic world of gods.
In modern times, the Valknut is used, for example, as a protective symbol against poison or as a "sign of fate", but also as a symbol for the three Norns, the three planes of existence and the three phases of life: birth, life and death. It could also be understood as a symbol of Odin's ability to make and break spiritual bonds. Together with the shungite stone, a versatile amulet is created.

The shungite rock from which this pendant was carefully cut by hand comes from the Zazhoginskij mine in Karelia/Russia and corresponds to the highest quality category for classic shungite, category 2.

Coloring off
Objects made from classic shungite can stain, more so in unpolished areas than in polished ones. For example, the hole in the trailer is not polished, which means that the color will rub off a bit at the beginning. This cannot be avoided as it is a completely natural property of shungite. Most of the time it is a gray discoloration that can be easily removed with soap and water.
Additional elements
Classic shungite is a mineral that naturally contains additional elements that are irregularly distributed. That's why pyrite and quartzite inclusions can be seen in some places, which look like scratches or cracks. These show that it is genuine shungite and are in no way a sign of poor quality.
polish
The polish does not last very long on the surface of the stone because shungite is a relatively soft mineral. This is completely normal and not a quality defect. When manufacturing our products, we deliberately avoid strong sealing or polishing. We would like to offer our customers the stones as natural as possible.
