Shungite is an effective stone used to revitalize water in two ways. In the first case, the shungite is placed directly in water, and thereby the stone is directly in contact with water. As an alternative method, the shungite is placed in a glass container, a test tube or a specially made glass vessel, a flask. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages.
Direct contact - the stones are placed directly in the water.
Advantages:
Direct contact of shungite with water can be much more effective. It is assumed that as a result of this contact, the specific chemical composition of the shungite directly reacts with the surrounding water.
Disadvantages:
In case of direct contact with water, deposits can be formed, for example, lime on the surface of the stone. If the stone is small, it will be difficult to clean the surface and because of this it will be necessary to replace the stones at certain intervals. Shungite contains additives, some of which can react with water. These reactions are visible on the surface in the form of light spots, which under certain conditions can lead to the appearance of an undesirable taste of water.
Indirect contact - the stones are placed in water in glass containers.
Advantages:
In this case, no deposits or oxide films are formed on the surface of the stones.
Stones of classic or elite shungite are practically not subject to changes in glass containers, which allow them to be used for a long time.
Disadvantages:
With indirect contact with water, the surface of the stone remains untouched. It is assumed that in this case the strength of the stone is not fully utilized.
No matter what method you would not decide to use, there will still be advantages and disadvantages. An important thing in the purification of water is that the vital energy of shungite will have a positive effect on you. Often this is an intuitive solution that will lead to the right choice.
Which stones are best to use – elite Shungite, regular Shungite stones, or maybe both combined? And what size would you recomend?
Even though I know that some of our customers use our stones – especially the smaller Shungite gravel stones – to build something similar to a filter and let the water flow slowly through the stones.
From what I know, they mostly use smaller stones. You can actually use both, regular Shungite as well as elite Shungite.
Please do not use Shungite powder – that really doesn’t work at all. The powder is much too fine and will either come out with the water or stick together and clogg up the container.
Shungite, as we offer it, is excellent for natural water revitalization and helps to gently restructure the water energetically. Our Shungite gravel is also perfectly suitable for improving the quality and taste of the water. Many of our customers report that the water becomes softer, fresher and more harmonious in taste.
However, real filtration is a completely different and technically quite complex subject, which I haven’t studied in detail so far.
