The Name “Taika”
Taika is a Karelian word and means “magic”, “enchantment” or “spell”. In connection with Karelia's close relationship with nature, the name evokes associations with ancient traditions, mysterious landscapes and the special atmosphere of the North.
The name is therefore a deliberate reference to the symbolic and nature-oriented character of the bracelet. Each rune has its own meaning, and each bead becomes part of this small personal story.
Clear Design and Comfortable Feel
The square Shungite beads, measuring approximately 12 mm, are carefully polished. Their geometric shape gives the bracelet a modern yet natural appearance.
With an adjustable inner circumference of approximately 165 to 240 mm, the bracelet can be worn flexibly. The combination of deep-black Shungite, clear edges and the incorporated rune symbols makes “Taika” a striking yet timeless accessory.
Natural Inclusions
Shungite is a naturally formed rock. Depending on the material, it may contain mineral components such as pyrite or quartz, or quartz-rich inclusions. These may appear as light, grey or metallic-looking areas.
Such natural structures are not an indication of a scratch or damage. They are part of the individual appearance of the natural material and make each piece of Shungite unique to a certain extent.
Colour Transfer
As with many natural materials, classic Shungite may occasionally leave slight traces of colour.
Such natural residue does not constitute a quality defect. Any residue on the skin can generally be removed with water and mild soap.
Care and Cleaning
For caring for the bracelet, a soft, dry cloth is generally sufficient. Dust and light dirt can be carefully removed with it.
Aggressive cleaning and care products should be avoided. The bracelet should also not be exposed to moisture unnecessarily for extended periods.
So-called “energetic cleansing”, for example by using incense or placing the bracelet in sunlight or moonlight, is not necessary. Anyone who uses such methods as part of their personal spiritual practice can of course do so according to their own beliefs.
