Can a broken shungite be glued back together?

Can a broken shungite be glued back together?

Shungite is very fragile and even small knocks can break it.  Sometimes all it takes is for your shungite pendant to fall onto a tiled bathroom floor for it to break into several pieces.

If you glue shungite – do it in the right way!

If part of your shungite pyramid, pendant or cube has broken off, you can glue it back on.  However, the prerequisite is that the stone is not badly damaged and the damaged part is not in an important place, such as the top of the pyramid.  With a little skill, most places can be repaired well with ordinary superglue.  This makes a protection object such as a pyramid, protection plate or pendant work again without losing its effect.

Sticking the stone to surfaces is also very useful when using shungite.  For example, a protection plate can be glued to a smartphone or window glass with superglue.

Do not glue these shungite stones together under any circumstances!
Please do not glue stones that you use for water purification!  Due to the use of glue, the stones contain chemical additives that can be toxic when used for water purification.
Fracture disrupts the stone structure.  If the break goes right through the stone or is in an important location, it is not recommended to glue the stone back together.  Even if the stone is glued back together, its structure will not be put back together.  The stone usually does not conduct electricity in such places after being glued.  Therefore, it is not recommended to glue stones that have been broken into large pieces.

If your stone is broken
Inspect the damage and decide whether or not to glue the stone.
If you want to glue it, use superglue or special stone glue. Allow sufficient time for curing.
Please don’t glue together important parts of protection objects or large parts.  Also, gluing is impossible with many small parts.
Shungite glueing can save money and be very useful if done properly.
