Over the long term, shungite has been successfully used in non-traditional medicine without negative side effects. There are experimental data collected over several centuries, which are unlikely to have appeared, if shungite was a poisonous stone.

"Shungite is radioactive. The stones are irradiated with radiation from Russian nuclear submarines and Chernobyl".

Karelia and the place of extraction of shungite are located very far from submarines and from Chernobyl. Like all stones in this world, shungite has a natural radioactivity, which is insignificant and absolutely not dangerous. Natural radioactivity in the Alps can be much higher. Despite the fact that radioactive contamination of shungite is insignificant, we regularly monitor these indices. When importing stones into the country, the consignment of goods is checked by customs officers with the help of a Geiger counter. In addition thereto, we regularly give our stones to an independent laboratory for inspection. The measurements are taken from our first major delivery in 2006, and the dubious significance of the radioactivity of our shungite has never been received.

"When protecting from radiation, shungite is effective only in a certain range of waves. Only in this specific range and only when certain devices are used, shungite takes its effects. For everyone else, shungite is absolutely useless"

Shungite does not in any way apply to precious stones, at least because of its slight hardness.
